Here We Stand by the Fratellis. A fine example of the rock renaissance currently underway in the UK. A more refined effort than their first album Costello Music.

Wanderlust by Gavin Rossdale. He may have mellowed since his days as frontman of Bush, but Gavin Rossdale's songwriting skills are as sharp as ever. A cracking album.

Unfold by Marie Digby. Amanda Marshall for the noughties – although slightly less tainted. Unfold is a pleasant fusion of pop, country and light rock.
